Since 1983 I have represented parties in every conceivable aspect of business litigation. I also have extensive experience in every form of bankruptcy, having represented Chapter 13, 7, and 11 debtors and creditors. Our firm also represents the Chapter 13 Trustee on a case-by-case basis and I am a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee myself, providing impartial case administration for hundreds of bankruptcy cases every year. Jerrold Farinash graduated with Honors from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and received his Juris Doctorate in 1982 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Mr. Farinash focuses his practice on commercial bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

Mr. Farinash was appointed to the Panel of Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in 1990 and is assigned approximately 500 debtor cases a year for which he serves as Trustee. Some of the more notable cases he has handled are W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery, Scenic City Mazda, Don Williams Construction Co., Rivercity Co., and Prebul Automotive.

Mr. Farinash is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. While a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, he served as Chairman of the Fee Arbitration Committee and the Court Relations Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Highland Park Neighborhood Association and the Tennessee Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Foundation. He is the Vice-President of the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga. He is a life member of the Tennessee Ornithological Society. He and his wife Christie have two children.
